Kids Dentistry Services

When it comes to kids dentistry, parents regularly recommend us to their friends. That’s because we love working with children and always welcome them with a smile and a ‘high-five’. We believe that good oral health starts from an early age which is why we recommend parents bring their children to see us for regular 6 monthly check-ups. This will instill good habits into them and make them feel comfortable in and around the dental office.

We’re committed to first-class paediatric dentistry

It’s a common misconception that children’s primary teeth aren’t that important because they still have their permanent teeth to fall back on. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case. When children lose their primary teeth too soon, it can cause crowding problems for the developing permanent teeth and negatively impact the development of the jaw bone and muscles.

Kids dentistry – Your child’s first visit

Parents often ask us when their child should first visit their dentist. We recommend this happens when their first tooth appears and before their first birthday.

This enables us to monitor your child’s tooth development using gentle and proven techniques. Furthermore, we will educate parents about preventive therapy and dietary information.

An early start in good oral hygiene is very important for your child’s dental health, during childhood but also later into adult life. “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”. We can help your child develop and maintain good oral habits!
We want your children to like us! This is why we make each dental visit a fun and informative experience. We believe in educating your child so they know the importance of looking after their teeth. We will demonstrate via educational videos and animations to teach them good oral habits which they can take with them into adulthood. Our children’s dentist provides essential treatments

Let your child choose their toothbrush – maybe a favourite Disney character or colour
Utilising dental health apps that are designed for kids to make brushing fun
Ensuring their child sees his or her parents following a daily routine of brushing and flossing

Kids easily pick up on anxiety, so make sure you keep things light-hearted to avoid them feeling scared. We also recommend booking an appointment for first thing in the morning before they start getting tired or irritable.
